4x4 Terrain Command

Engineered for Australian conditions, every 4x4 MU-X features ‘Terrain Command’ as standard, allowing you to switch between 2WD-high and 4WD-high modes at speeds of up to 100km/h. When the going gets tough, selecting 4WD-low will provide increased traction and complete control.

Rear Differential Lock

ANCAP 5-Star Safety Rating

The Isuzu MU-X achieved a 5-star rating against ANCAP’s stringent 2022 testing criteria, making it one of the safest vehicles on Australian roads. Active Safety Features

The MU-X is packed with built-in active safety features that keep you and your passengers safe by helping avoiding accidents.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

An audible warning sounds and red warning lights flash on the dashboard when an obstacle is detected in your path. If your MU-X detects a potential collision is imminent, emergency braking is applied automatically.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC kicks-in when under or oversteering occurs and helps restore control.

Trailer Sway Control (TSC)

TSC will apply brakes to individual vehicle wheels to help bring the trailer safely back under control.

Automatic High Beam

Headlights automatically turn on when it is dark, such as at dusk or in underground car parks. During travel, the MU-X dims the high beams automatically to avoid dazzling other drivers.

Rain Sensing Wipers

Standard across the range, the Automatic Rain Sensing Wipers automatically wipe the windshield when needed and varies the frequency of the wipe depending on the amount of rain detected.

Misacceleration Mitigation

In slow moving areas such as car parks, the stereo cameras determine whether the accelerator has been applied accidentally. Should a potential collision be detected, the accelerator is suppressed.

Lane Driving Features

Lane Departure Prevention

Lane Departure Prevention is activated if the vehicle is about to depart from the driver's lane. The system assists by steering the vehicle in the correct direction to help prevent lane departure. This feature can also be disabled via the Lane Support System (LSS) Switch.

Lane Departure Warning

Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver when the vehicle starts to drift out of the current lane. This feature can also be disabled via the Lane Support System (LSS) Switch.

Emergency Lane Keeping

If there is danger of collision with vehicles approaching from behind in an adjacent lane, the vehicle will help avoid the collision by preventing lane departure. This feature can also be disabled via the Lane Support System (LSS) Switch.

Lane Keep Assist

Lane Support System (LSS) Switch

The Lane Support System (LSS) Switch, located on the steering wheel allows the driver to toggle the LSS on-or-off by pressing and holding the Switch for two seconds. The LSS includes Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) and Lane Keep Assist (LKA). Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) will still function regardless if the LKA is disabled via the Switch.

Parking Safety Features

360° Surround View Monitor^∓

The 360^o Surround View Monitor^∓ provides a complete aerial perspective of your surroundings, enhancing visibility and making parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces easier and safer. (Standard on LS-T & X-TERRAIN models)

Front & Rear Parking Sensor

Provides instantaneous feedback regarding nearby obstacles at low speed on LS-T & LS-U models. (LS-M models have rear park assist sensors only)

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) monitors your surrounding area while reversing into traffic, providing visual and audible warnings should an object approach from the left or right. (RCTA will automatically disable when a towing device is connected to the vehicle via a genuine Tow Bar Wiring Harness).

Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB)

Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RTCB) monitors your surrounding area while reversing into traffic. It will automatically brake if an object approaches from the left or right.

Traffic Safety Features

Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC)

When Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) detects a new speed zone, the IACC changes the vehicle speed and can activate the brakes when brake lights are detected ahead.

Traffic Jam Assist

Traffic Jam Assist works in conjunction with Isuzu's Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC) to assist drivers during stop-and-start traffic. The car will automatically brake and accelerate based on the speed of the vehicle in front at speeds between 0-60km/h.

Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)

Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) provides a visual warning in your side mirrors when an obstacle is approaching in your blind spot. (BSM will automatically disable when a towing device is connected to the vehicle via a genuine Tow Bar Wiring Harness).

Traffic Sign Recognition

The MU-X recognises traffic signs, displaying information such as speed limits in the Multi-lnformation Display on the dash for easy reference.

Intelligent Speed Limiter

When active, the Intelligent Speed Limiter will prevent the vehicle from exceeding the signed speed limit.

Passive Safety Features

While the MU-X does everything it can to avoid driving incidents, there's a range of built-in passive safety features just in case.

Eight Airbags
