Sales Records Broken as 25MY Isuzu MU-X Met With Unprecedented Demand

Isuzu UTE’s 25MY MU-X range is setting new sales benchmarks across the country, with the facelifted powerhouse 7-seat SUV registering extraordinary market response since its arrival in March.

Having finished 2024 as Australia’s 6^th best-selling 4x4 overall – and the outright 3^rd placed vehicle in the hotly contested ‘SUV Large < $80K’ segment – MU-X deliveries were tempered in Q1 of 2025 due to low stock levels of run-out 24MY MU-X models.

That changed with the influx of the 25MY MU-X, featuring a sophisticated design evolution and a suite of new technology. MU-X reported an impressive result of 1,643 units in May, followed by 2,033 MU-X sales deliveries in June – an all-time monthly record. Another 1,635 units were delivered the subsequent month; a record for July.

It is the first time that the Isuzu UTE Dealer Network has achieved more than 5,000 MU-X deliveries (for a total of 5,311 units) in any given three-month period. Demand for the highly anticipated top-spec 25MY MU-X X-TERRAIN has been particularly strong.

Year-end results for 2024 saw a total of 17,978 MU-X vehicles delivered to Australian driveways, when Isuzu UTE’s family-focussed SUV was Australia’s 15^th best-selling car overall. Interest in the MU-X suggests a potential increase even on that record result, pending supply. These circumstances have led IUA to work tirelessly with Isuzu internationally to ramp up MU-X production for local shores. With lifted stock volumes confirmed from September, customers are encouraged to place their orders with local Dealers now to secure their vehicles ahead of delivery.

The introduction of Isuzu UTE Finance and Isuzu UTE Insurance products earlier this year, each available via the Isuzu UTE national Dealer Network, further simplifies the potential ownership journey.
